Loaded Goat
Loaded Goat is a mad mash of bluegrass,
old-time, honky-tonk music. To activate: Flick a little moonshine in it's face
and get ready for some banjo for your ear-holes. Playing a predominantly
original catalog of heartbreak and headache, Loaded Goat will occasionally
surprise with the surprising cover song. Loaded Goat is great for bars,
campfire jams, weddings, cowboy saloon shootouts, Rural Grit Happy Hour, and more,
more, more.

The John Brown Boys
The John Brown Boys were born less than 25 ft away from Stage 7 at the
Walnut Valley Festival ("Winfield") in 2010. Nearly a year and a half later, our original bass player, Martin
Korb, was finally able to remember the name of our band, so we knew we were on
our way. The next thing we know, we are playing a few songs at the Rural Grit
Happy Hour and the rest is history!
In late 2012, John Yingst joined the band. We
couldn't be happier to welcome his musical talents on the dobro, banjo, and
guitar.
In April of 2013, Susan Brewington and her fiddle
joined The John Brown Boys. Susan adds a great deal of energy and musical
talent to our band. She also added her great friend, Tracey Flexter George, to
our band. Tracey is fun, funny, and fantastically talented. We are lucky to
have her bass slapping and beautiful harmonizing in the band... even if adding a
second woman to the band means we have to explain why we're called the John
Brown BOYS more often.
We would like to thank bands like Konza Swamp,
The Wilders and Big Smith for making it look so damn fun that we just had to
try it ourselves. And we should probably give special thanks to Caleb Gardner
for bringing us all together, along with his wealth of knowledge and talent as
a musician/friend, and also to the human jukebox Garrett White and his never
ending jam sessions and limitless energy.
Thank You for your support,
The John Brown Boys
